Title: Compulsion

MARCH 12, 2007

I still have my kidney stone, and today I got my period on top of that, and I don't think anyone needs or wants to be subjected to the kind of journal entry that would lead to. It would just be an endless stream of crankier than hell whining, punctuated by a whole lot of swearing, so instead I'll just say that if anyone has any chocolate covered morphine truffles, please, for the love of god, send them my way. Or a mocha morphine iv drip, that would be good. Of course, just getting rid of this bleepin' stone would be the best solution but, since we've yet to find a kidney stone whisperer listed in the phone book, morphine laced chocolate will have to suffice.

But there is some good news, news so good that, despite feeling like a bloated manic depressive hippo with a barbed rock stuck in my personal bits, it still brought a smile to my face. And what kind of news could be so potently good? Well, duh! Soccer news, of course! The U.S. Women's National Team have continued their winning ways in the Algarve Cup, beating China, Finland, and Sweden, and now the U.S. is set to play Denmark in the championship game on Wednesday.

Ah, the thrill of victory! My body may be aching, but footy certainly does my heart good. Just one more win and the U.S. will notch its fifth Algarve Cup title, which will make them the only team to have won it five times. Joy!
