I feel so frazzled right now. I know I shouldn't get so caught up in news stories and other peoples' lives, but... First James Kim got lost and died in the mountains of Oregon, which was absolutely heartbreaking. Ross and I watch the CNET shows on Tivo so we knew who James was and had enjoyed many of his reviews, so when he and his family got lost here in Oregon it hit close to home. We followed the story and kept hoping James would be found alive and returned safely to his family, but the poor guy didn't make it and it broke my heart. And now we have three climbers lost and stranded on Mt. Hood and the rescuers are having a hell of a time trying to find and save these guys. They don't know where the climbers are and the weather has made the search nearly impossible, so it's not looking good. The three lost climbers coming right on the heels of James Kim's death has made for an emotionally trying time because it's impossible not to get caught up in and feel awful about it when our friendly neighborhood mountains take to gobbling up the tourists.
Heavy, heavy sigh.
