Other than the fact that we just lost a pregnancy that we tried for years to achieve, it was a very nice day.
Bright autumn sunlight, colourful leaves, good coffee, spending $80 on new music and dvds, a large pepperoni pizza with extra cheese from The Flying Pie, watching the first game of the World Series, and falling asleep curled up with Ross on the couch.
That was my day, and precisely the type of day that I needed. My body is still far from having fully recovered from the pregnancy and the loss thereof, I'm exhausted and still bleeding, but spending a mellow day with Ross was better than any pain medication or medical treatment.
Ross. He is such a good man and regardless of what else happens in the world or our lives, his warmth always feels like home. It is no understatement to say that he is the best thing that's ever happened to me.
