Title: Compulsion

You know, I wasn't rooting for the U.S. in the World Cup (never been a fan of the men's team), but I also wasn't hoping that they'd go out there and make fools of themselves and the U.S. But that's exactly what they've done. Oh, it was painful to watch, not to mention embarrassing. And not just in one game, but two of the three. And even their match against Italy wasn't great. Italy played subpar, which is why the U.S. was able to tie them. What a sad day for U.S. soccer (the men, anyway). They're out of the Cup and they deserve to be. And to top the whole debacle off, coach Bruce Arena walked of the field after the last game without acknowledging Ghana's coach. Truly classless.

And to all the American media, sports commentators, etc, that keep saying the U.S. has never won the World Cup could you either get your facts straight or shut the fuck up? The U.S. has won the World Cup. Twice, in fact. The U.S. Women's National Team won the World Cup in 1991 and 1999. So, please, give credit where credit is due. The U.S. men may not have ever won the World Cup, but the U.S. women certainly have. Hrmph!
