April 29, 2005   Damn! We should've won tonight. And when I say we I mean the Timbers, because I am on the team. Or would be if they'd let me. Oh yes, I'd show those boys some ball handling skills they'd never forget! Ahem.

Of course, saying that we should have won implies that we lost, but we didn't. It was a tie, but it still feels like a lose, being we sure didn't win. It also begs the question, are we still undefeated? That all depends on how you define undefeated. Is it no losses or all wins?

In most sports, ties are not allowed, so not losing any games means that you've won all your games, but, for some dumbass reason, soccer allows ties and leaves you wondering what the hell you call a team that hasn't lost a game but also hasn't won all their games. But I do know what you call the fans of such a team, and that is a wee bit bummed.

If only our defense hadn't whipped out lawn chairs and had naptime in the 2nd half. Sure, it was cute seeing them nod off and drool on themselves, but cute doesn't win games. Not soccer games, anyway. Sigh.
